I am so incredibly happy today! I was notified that the above photo was selected to be published in the VSA Missouri 2011 anthology of work by Missouri writers and artists who have disabilities. I had applied last year, but my submission was rejected. This is the second year for the Anthology and I'm absolutely thrilled to be included.
I will receive two copies of the Anthology, a small stipend, and attend the art and book signing events.
It's a wonderful affirmation after years of hard work. The reward, of course, is the process, but it's always nice to get recognition.
